Comando Señoras is a collective creation project led by Alicia Reyero made up of more than 20 women of different ages and fields within the performing arts.

We work on creating new female role models in fiction and production models with a feminist perspective.

Our three areas of action are audiovisual capsules, street actions and the indoor show "Rites of Love and War".

The Comando Señoras project arose as a result of the creative process carried out during the "Reconstructing Fiction" training, where through creative work we reflected on the influence that the media has on the construction of our identity and the relationship with different forms of violence: linked to social class, origin, skin color, sexual orientation, lack of opportunities to access places of power and femicide.

AUDIOVISUAL CAPSULES

The fiction we create and consume conditions the way we see ourselves in society. We need to actively work on building a new collective imagination to create new references closer to our needs and realities. Models in fiction with which to empathize. Under this premise, the idea of creating viral audiovisual capsules arose. We created the fiction of an organized Ladies' Command, which thrives on care but can also become violent if its rights or those of any other woman are violated. A Command that gives free rein to its desires, formed by women on colours.

RITES OF LOVE AND WAR

Rites of Love and War is a show created from our own stories with a structure that is alive. It transforms depending on the participating actresses, as well as the circumstances that surround us. A real-time ritual, where the actresses and the audience participate in a common act that ends up becoming a collective catharsis. A multidisciplinary show where the word, movement, rhythm and image are put at the service of real stories of women of different generations, creating a language of the Command. A penetrating, festive and sometimes comical language to highlight the different types of violence that women experience and how it has affected us transgenerationally. Impact and social dialogue is one of the driving forces of the collective. We are interested in generating a space for reflection and intergenerational cohesion. That is why it is a show aimed at audiences of all ages and conditions.

In a corner of the collective imagination, resides the Lady par excellence.
The one that has the best kept secret of Christmas broth.
The one that cures your cold with a thyme soup.
The one who takes your order at the supermarket, checks the best offers, takes care of you, cooks for you, accompanies you...
The one who is silent or the one who has been silenced.
The one constructed from an image that rarely corresponds to reality: the evil witch, the mother-in-law, the pimp, the gossip, the widow, the stepmother...
The Lady is the shadow of which you know nothing.
Now all these “ladies” have decided to take ownership of their history and get organized.
There are many, they are everywhere.
They have emerged from that corner and have displayed their greatness.
They are a commando. They are beasts. They are witches. And they are at war.

STREET ACTIONS

Conquering the space that has been denied to us is the driving force behind our street actions.
Every day we receive news of abuse, rape and murder of women in public spaces.
Messages that are becoming increasingly present in our subconscious and that prevent us from feeling completely free in public spaces.
Through street actions we make visible strong, active, trained WOMEN, aware of the violence they have experienced but not with a victim attitude.
